Our purpose

The purpose of FIEMG program is to keep the industry in Minas Gerais innovative and sustainable, capable of doing new business, generating wealth and development. An industry that stands out in Brazil and abroad, and that drives an economic and social growth all over the state. 

It is made possible through services and products offered by the five companies comprising it:

The Federation of Industries of the State of Minas Gerais, FIEMG, represents the state industry and defends their interests both locally and nationwide. The entity provides Minas Gerais companies with advisory support on crucial areas, such as credit and funding, taxation, environmental and labor. The above is done in order to contribute with sustainable development and competitiveness of all industries settled in Minas Gerais, as well as increasing and strengthening associativism.

What are Ruling Councils and Representations?

FIEMG also acts by means of Ruling Councils, formed by Chambers and Councils. They are important integration forums, regarding the interests that the businessmen in Minas Gerais industry have in common.

Chambers are formed by trade unions of a given productive chain, which gather in order to discuss common interests. They are discussion places for matters that affect the entire production chain of a given segment.

Councils are formed by businessmen who meet to discuss about systemic and strategic of the industry, aiming to guide and strengthen their participation on the settlement of public policies which affect the productive competitiveness.

Representations are work groups, Executive, City, State and Federal Power committees and councils, comprised by representatives of the industries, dedicated to themes such as culture, education, environment, economic politics, industrial politics, economic regulation and work safety and health.
